THE FULL STORY
ABOUT AMANDA
Hi, I’m Amanda — and this is my journey with clay.
I did pottery for the first time in March 2023, completely by accident. A friend suggested we try a class, I got my hands on a wheel, and something clicked. Within a few months I was spending every free day in a studio somewhere, learning as much as I could.
What CeramicsJourney is
CeramicsJourney is a space that brings together creating my own ceramic pieces, experimenting, and teaching ceramics. It’s a blog, a workshop platform, and a shop — but mostly it’s a way of sharing the process openly.
I share my experiences not to show a right way, but to learn, grow, and figure things out together. Imperfection is part of it. The journey is the point.
What I stand for
Learning ceramics and creating handmade pieces should feel intentional and enjoyable. Not precious, not intimidating. The clay doesn’t care if you’re a beginner — and neither do I.
I believe in hands-on practice, staying curious, and understanding the process rather than just copying results. I want to build a community where people help each other, share what they’re learning, and make things with care.
What I’m creating
Right now I’m teaching at tonstudio ehrenfeld in Cologne and running private lessons at my studio in Siegburg. I’m working on new ceramic pieces — the HOME collection is ongoing — and occasionally assisting at workshops abroad.
I sell my ceramics at local markets (watch this page for upcoming dates) and take occasional custom orders. Get in touch if you’re interested in a piece.
